Nike was launching a new series of uniforms for the top 8 NCAA basketball teams, dubbed the Platinum Elite. Obscura Digital was asked to create an experience for the press that would dominate headlines.
"The Rise of the Platinum Elite" was a first-of-its-kind basketball performance piece featuring 9 live actors on a massive augmented-reality basketball court. Using more than 20 projectors, we were able to surround the players in a graphic, 3-dimensional world that warped and reinvented itself with each dribble. It was a dunk clinic like no one had ever seen before.
